Building Better Neighborhoods
Who are we

What We Do at HCDC

Launched in 2017, Houston Community Data Connections (HCDC) at the Kinder Institute seeks to facilitate the practical use of data by community leaders for decision-making and capacity building in Houston’s communities. Through the support of the Houston Endowment, HCDC serves as a local data intermediary and provides a cluster of data and research services to the community.

HCDC is a member of the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP), a learning network, coordinated by the Urban Institute, of independent organizations in 30 cities that share a mission to ensure all communities have access to data and the skills to use information to advance equity and well-being across neighborhoods.

Our Work

Dorian Cockrell
Workforce Operations Manager, Workforce Solutions

Our future workforce will continue to improve because of the support we received from Kinder Institute’s Houston Community Data Connections (HCDC) team. From their resourceful maps and keen insight, our teams can target communities with young people between the ages of 16 – 29 that need help to offer them services to keep our region the best place to do business, work, and live!
Thank you, HCDC!
